The Palace Linna Hotel is housed in a traditional building with a handsome granite castle, which dates from 1903, serving as its facade. The interior is a full-blooded Jugendstil medieval fantasy. Though small and cosy, the lobby features including a gorgeous, high vaulted ceiling. Accessible via a walkway over the inner courtyard, the 48 medium-sized guestrooms are situated in the modern part of the property, behind the turreted façade. Design features include bold lampshades, sleek modern cabinets and wood-framed swatches of differently patterned fabric on the walls in lieu of pictures. These conjure up a minimalist, vaguely Oriental style. All the rooms are clean and well maintained, as are the tiled en suite bathrooms. The breakfast room is in the lower ground floor in a superbly atmospheric cellar-like room with attractive vaulted ceiling and other period features. There is also a stylish à la carte restaurant.
