The Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel is housed in a listed building, which dates from 1917. It has retained its original facade, with stained glass windows and a beautiful stone tower positioned on the street corner. There is also a more modern annex. The specious lobby, with its high ceilings and tall atrium, is tastefully appointed with beautiful white columns, wood fittings and many original antiques. Also spacious, the 302 guestrooms feature Classic, Nordic or Italian style décor. They are in exceptional condition, as are the white marble bathrooms. Seven different rooms with seven different atmospheres create the unique world of the hotel’s Pääkonttori restaurant. The structure of the original building, combined with the vision of Finland's best designers, lends each room a distinctive personality. The menu combines Italian and Finnish cuisine with the glow of a wood-burning stove. The central location of the hotel has also made its bar a popular after-work rendezvous spot for a hot cappuccino, cold beer or cocktail. The clientèle is a blend of locals and international hotel guests.
