The Scandic Continental Hotel is housed in a 9-storey modern building with a glass facade and blue canopies at ground level. There is an attractively tended area of grassland in front of the property, as well as a private roundabout, which makes coach drop-offs convenient. The spacious lobby is elegantly appointed with a beige carpet, a striped pine reception area, spot lighting and a mixture of modern and antique furniture. Also fairly large, the 512 guestrooms are decorated in a traditional style, utilising cream and yellow tones. Some of the rooms are carpeted, while others have parquet floors. All are clean and well maintained, as are the en suite bathrooms. The Restaurant Olivo serves a Mediterranean menu, which includes everything from light salads to superb steaks. A buffet breakfast is also offered in the mornings. Alternatively, Bar Contintents is a cosy venue where you can enjoy classic cocktails from different continents. There’s a range of snacks to suit all occasions, such as before an evening at the opera, a sports match or concert.
